24 small peppermint patties
3 sticks of butter melted
3 cups sugar
1TBS Vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 cup Cocoa
1tsp. baking powder
1. Heat oven to 350* (325* if using a glass baking dish). Remove wrappers from peppermint patties. Grease 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
2.Stir together butter, sugar, and vanilla in large bowl. Add eggs; beat until well blended. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt, blend well. Reserve 2 cups.
3. Spread remaining batter in prepared pan. Arrange peppermint patties about 1/2 inch apart in single layer over batter. Spread reserved batter over the peppermint patties.
4. Bake 50-55 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares. Makes about 36 brownies, depending on how big you cut them .
I made these again but this time I didn't reserve any batter, instead I stuck the peppermint patties on the top and covered them after. It worked out great.
