The picture of today is titled “Little Me, Big Me”.

Why am I naming a photo of Ethan and myself “Little Me, Big Me” or maybe it should be “Big Me, Little Me”.

Here’s the story behind the picture. This little guy can really push my buttons and one day he pushed the last one. You know what I did? I raised my voice. Not one of my best moments especially when I’m telling my little guy, “Why do you have to be so stubborn and difficult and make things harder then they need to be and . . .” I was going to say more when I stopped because I realized I was saying things about me.

I stopped and said, “Ethan, you are a little me and I’m a big you”, and it stuck. Of course I also went on to tell him that I don’t want him to be like me I want you to be better.

I pray that he’ll be more like his dad. His dad is so patient and calm. His dad is a good example of our heavenly father. Me, well I need lots of work but I’m getting there Winking smileslowly anyway.

  1. So sweet. :) As always, love the realness on your blog. I need lots of work too. You are an inspiration to me in more ways than one, and I don't even know how I came to follow your journey - as I've been following you for awhile, but happy I did!

P.S. Love your new design! Super cute!

  2. Thank you Michelle for your kind words. I very much enjoy your blog as well.

I'm trying to get a more streamlined look. I have so many things I like that my sidebars get a bit cluttered.

    Blessings,
    Linda<><
