We had 3 days of glorious rain. Lots and lots and lots of it. I mean like sheets of rain for one those days. I loved it! I love the rain except this time the rain caused some tears.
I had an HOD box in storage! Our small storage unit that we have in the backyard. It’s suppose to be waterproof.
I was watching my favorite little guy (a 2yr. old boy) and didn’t even know that my books had been compromised!
I was chasing the little guy, he ran into Joshua’s room and that’s when I saw my books.
Imagine my surprise when I saw my books, wet and sad looking.
Yes, I cried but only for a minute. Yes I was sad but then I remembered that they are things, only things.
My kids (mostly Brent, Josh, and Annette) were so kind. They found some blow-dryers and did the best they could to save them. This happened Saturday and today is Monday.
They are still damp. I am going to keep them as a reminder of how much my kiddos love me. They spent a long time trying to save the books. Thank you kiddos, I love you!
And on a side note; my hair is in a funk. It’s acting w-e-i-r-d, weird. My curls are all stuck together. It doesn’t look bad but when I touch it it feels yucky. Strange!
If you live right, chances are your children will too. But teach them everything. What you don't teach them someone else will-and you might not like those lessons.-The Delany Sisters
