Simplify My Reading

I have been trying to simplify areas in my life and one area (among many ) is my reading time. Have you seen my sidebar of "I'm Reading" I love books. Always have since childhood. But it can be a bit overwhelming at times. There is so much I want to learn. I want to learn how to be a good wife, mom, friend and positive thinker. So this morning I was praying about all my books sounds crazy I know, but this needs to be done. I have a habit of thinking I need to read them all at once (especially the parenting ones) You know " I don't want to ruin my kids because I didn't get to that one book on time" ;) I tend to just skim the surface thinking I'll read it again later. So here are the books that I am going to read, not skim through but really read them and I am going to do something that is going to be very hard. Put all the other books away. Not have them next to my reading area.

I'm going to stick with;
  1. Child Training- Hints on Child Training, by Clay Trumbull.
  2. Mothering- The Mission of Motherhood, By Sally Clarkson.
  3. Wife- Created to be His Helpmeet, By Debra Pearl.
  4. Schooling-Latin Centered Curriculum, by Andrew Campbell.
  5. Better Myself book- Battlefield of the Mind, by Joyce Meyer
The one book that does not get put on the shelf is God's Word my Bible.My first choice for any learning is Gods Word and I am so thankful for the freedom we have to worship Him and to read His Word.

And once I am done with these, I'll pick another set of books from my "sidebar list"

I know it still can look like a lot too some, but for me It's just right
