Cooked Playdough

I tried the non cooked playdough but it dried out really fast. I prefer the cooked one. Here is how I make it.

  1. Mix 3 cups flour and 6 tsp cream of tarter in a bowl
  2. In a pan dissolve 1.5 cups of salt in 3 cups of water. Add 3 tbsp oil and the bowl of flour mixed with cream of tarter.
  3. Stir constantly over medium heat until a ball forms by pulling away from the sides.
  4. Knead the dough mixture until the texture matches playdough (1-2 minutes).
  5. Store in plastic container or Ziploc bag. Should last for at least 3 months.

I have made this one for years and it much more pliable and last longer.
