Lance School

I have so much fun teaching Lance. He is a clean slate, so I'm starting at the VERY begining with him. Like I have mentioned before, most of my children knew a little more than Lance, at his age. Okay, they were all reading or sounding out cvc (consonant, vowel, consonant) words.

With Phonics he is still learning to identify the letters 'a' and 'b' as well as learning the sounds. I didn't take a picture, so we'll move onto math.

Today we used the smile faces and number cards. First we counted the faces on the cards, using the face cards that had one face up to five faces. Then he had to place the number card, under the corresponding face card.
Once we did the five above, we continued with 6-10.
Here, is my silly Lance. Maybe I should title this "Silly Lance School"

After we finished with the cards, Lance, had to cut out some numbered race cars and put them in order. First we put 1-5. I had him match the race car number with the smily face card to help him put the cars in the correct order.

I taped this to the pantry door. Now when he passes the door, I can ask him to say his numbers 1-10.

  1. He looks so cute holding up his little chart. I loved kindergarten with both of the boys so much! I miss it! Maybe one day, the kids will let me homeschool my grandbabies...
