39 Years, Oh My!!!

Today, I turned 39 years old. Wow!

My dad brought me a mini cake this morning. It looks big because I took a close-up. My dad works the night shift in a grocers department, so he gets first pick from the sales rack. $3.59 for my cake. Can't beat that! Thank you, dad!

The children and I stayed up late the night before. We had a slumber party {I'll have a post about it soon}. Yes, we missed church. I told the children that we were going to miss church and sleep in, that we'd have our own little service. I think I woke past 8:00 a.m. I asked Josh if he'd please make me a cup of coffee, in my favorite mug, with whipped cream and two Splendas.
Now, I normally would never post a picture of me in bed, but this is a memory {most likely the last pic of me in my pj's}
Me, with my two little guys. Lance and Ethan. Oh, how I'm going to miss these days, when the children will one day be grown.
 That was the best tasting coffee ever. Speaking of coffee, a few weeks back Ethan, said he knew how to spell coffee. He spelled it like this /c/-/o/-/f/-/f/-/e/-/e/. He sounded out each letter. When he got to the f's and e's he made those sounds twice. It was cute.
Brent, wrote a special message for me. The little girl drawing; I drew that yesterday. Hee, hee, it's a picture of Annette, when she was younger, she use to have lots of curls.
 My sis-in-law made me a special birthday lunch. It was so good. It was an Italian meal. My sis is one of the most giving person. She'd give you the shirt of her back if you needed it. Not only is she giving of things but also her time. She has been a blessing to our family. Thank you Jesus, for Veronica!
 Jamie, Annette, Caleb, Me, Ethan {he brushed is hair so nice}, Josh, Joel, Brent.
 The younger ones. Lance, Jackie and Jake. My sis-in-law has a 'J' thing going with naming her children.

 Mom and the kids!
You have to turn your monitor to see this picture correctly. I don't know what is going on with blogger. When I turn the picture on my computer, it saves it but when I upload it to blogger it returns to it's original position. Weird!
 The cake!
 After that wonderful lunch, we all took a nap or hat quiet time. I retreated to my room and read.
Annette, recommended a book titled Angus and Sadie. It's a cute book about friendship. I'm glad I took the time to read it.

Later, my dad came by to watch the Viking play the Cowboys. I'm not a big football fan but it was nice of my dad to spend time with his grandchildren.

The Viking fans. {Ethan and Josh are Viking fans too}
The Cowboy fan(s). Lupe, is a Cowboy fan but wasn't able to see the game, so my poor girl sat all alone. She so serious {like her mama}!
 My brother-in-law Jamie, was so sweet. He called and sang Happy Birthday and brought me home a Pumpkin Muffin with Cream Cheese from Starbucks.
 The children and I ended my birthday with a movie. Facing the Giants. The kiddos loved it.
Of course I made myself a nice cup of java to go with that muffin and movie.

My sister MaryEllen, sent this to me via Facebook. Thanks Reff!!!

  8. Tell Annette I feel for her - the Lions lost too on Sunday and give her a BIG hug from me! And tell her I am SO happy she likes football (even though she likes the wrong team ;) J/K) and that maybe one day we can enjoy a game together.
