Day 69

My eyes hurt. I was on the computer earlier today, finishing up my CHRISTmas shopping {praying hard that it will all get here in time}. I don't care much for the hustle and bustle and much prefer to shop from the comfort of my own home {and with a cup of coffee}.
Because, I was getting some shopping in school didn't start until 10:00 a.m. I also let the children sit in front of the television for an hour.

Day 69

I completed:
  1. Phonics with Caleb and Brent, via Phonics Pathways
  2. Dictation with Caleb and Brent.
  3. Spelling with Josh.
  4. Spelling with Annette {Megawords}
I know it looks like a little bit but I also did schooling without textbooks. Having Ethan, spell a word out-loud. Or asking, "What does that word say?"  Things like that with the children. And can't forget Timez Attack.
I wanted to get a Phonics Road lesson in with Caleb and Brent, but my dvd is not working (Yikes!). Hopefully tonight Lupe, can take a look at it and fix it.

Here is what I mean when I talk about schooling without textbooks.
Here, is Ethan, spelling words while I make lunch.

His sweater is dirty from the chalk.

 Josh, Brent and Ethan made a shelter.
 Physical Education. Catching and throwing a football.

 Math. Mr. Gallon.
 Art. This is Form Drawing.
 Grammar and more art. Mr. Declarative.
{Yes, Annette, did notice that she spelled declarative wrong}
I read the children the story from the Sentence Family.

 If interested in making a Mr. Gallon you can download him here in color and here in black and white.

  1. Love the action shots of the kids! How's that BJU math going? I'm seriously considering it for Josh for next year.

    I still have a few more Christmas gifts to go so I probably won't be completely done for another week. :(
