Fun Day

The children and I had a busy, fun day. At 11:00 a.m. my sis-in-law and I took the kiddos downtown {it's walking distance} there where all kinds of vendors. Homemade soaps, lotions, pillows etc. So, much to see.
The children made crafts, and took home some reindeer food to sprinkle on the yard CHRISTmas eve night. It was made of oats, Pebbles cereal and 'elf' dust {glitter}.
My children with their four cousins.
After, we walked around, Annette, wanted to back track, to a booth that had Beanie Babies. We were looking at them, Annette, asked how much they were, the lady told her $5.00 each. This included a mug too!
As were looking at the display of Beanie Babies in the mugs and chatting, the seller informed us that at one time she had 800 Beanie Babies. Wow! She said, it's time to let some of them go. There were some that are worth $20.00 or more.
Surprisingly, Annette, didn't find one she liked but Ethan and Lance did. Ethan, found a cute CHRISTmas bear one and Lance, had his eye on a dog.
I asked, Ethan, if he had enough money and he said, "Yes, I brought my money." and he pulls out all his change. The husband of the lady, chuckled at that. He thought it was cute!. Ethan, gave him all the change for him to count. Lance, had 6.00 saved, that I had brought.
What was more surprising, then Annette, not finding one, was I fell in love with a Beanie Baby. As the children, were selecting theirs, I kept eyeing a cute bear one, in a cute bear mug! I don't think I've let that little secret out. I LOVE BEARS!!!!!
I kept telling myself not to get it. I don't need it. It's a stuffed animal. What are we going to do with it. I have enough mugs..........but it was so cute. I tried to convince Ethan and Lance to pick it but they had their own picked out.
Guess what? I couldn't leave the little guy behind. I normally don't purchase things like this, but every so often I really want too. Most the time I  do walk away. This time though, I splurged. I picked up the mug with the bear and noticed it had a tie too!!! How cute is that? I thought I'd give it to Lupe, as I type it's sitting under the blankets on his side of the bed, waiting to be discovered. I think Lupe, will like him. I know he's going to find him and laugh. I can see my Sweets, face and hear him laughing.

Before, we left the booth, the couple told me that the children were very well behaved and told me I was doing a good job. The lady also, said, she could tell, I was a good mother. I thought that was very kind.

Later, we went back to downtown for a CHRISTmas parade. It was so cold but we had fun. It was a spur of the moment thing. I didn't even know there was going to be a parade. Annette, heard her Uncle Joe mention it. She came and told me. I was cooking dinner. The meat for our tacos was already done. I was waiting for the rice to finish cooking.
I told Annette, we'd probably miss it. As I was checking on dinner, in my warm, cozy house, I decided to take the children. I called my sister up, told her I was taking her three kids and mine for a walk to see the parade {I was watching three of her kids}. She said, she'd meet us there. As I was getting the kids ready, she happened to get home in time and surprised me with a cup of coffee. A Starbuck Gingerbread Mocha. The parade was going to start in fifteen minutes, so the nine kids and I went ahead and she would find us later because she had to put her groceries away and wake her little guy,who fell asleep in the back.

I had a perfect shot of Santa, but my camera, took forever to 'click'.
When, we got home, my sister invited us for supper {she lives about twelve feet away}. It was her hubbies birthday, so before we could eat, we heard Lupe's truck. We turned off the lights and hid in the kitchen and yelled surprise, when her hubby walked in.
It was a fun day. I really enjoyed it!
Thank you Jesus for this time with my family. Praying it will be another pearl on a string of memories.
