My Annette

We were suppose to celebrate Annette's and Caleb's birthday today but we didn't. Annette, wasn't feeling well last night and today she woke up tired and drained still {although we were able to sneak in a walk to our favorite coffee shop}.

It worked out though because it gave Lupe and the boys time to work at the church.

Ethan, woke late, and wanted to help his dad and brothers, so I decided to walk him over. I took Annette, with me. I thought the fresh air would do her good. There was a nice breeze perfect for my sick girl.

I didn't plan to continue on to the coffee shop, but Lupe, said I should buy Annette a hot chocolate. I didn't have any money on me, so my Girl treated me. How sweet of her.

By the time we reached the coffee shop her head was hurting. We took our time sipping our drinks. I had a Pumpkin Spice Latte and Annette ordered her a hot chocolate. We talked and had a good time.

I shared some of what was on my heart with my daughter, about the mother I wanted to be but am not {canning, making homemade bread, etc.}. She looked at me with those beautiful brown eyes and said, "Mom, I love you just the way you are. You don't have to be that way" and I about cried.

By the time we were ready to leave, her headache was gone and we walked home. She asked if I needed help with cleaning but I had her rest.

When we arrived home, there was a package on the door step. It was from WinterPromise. My order is still trickling in but more on that later. Right now my Sweets, is taking me on a date!
