I recently purchased Trickomatics for my four younger boys. I like how it focuses on place value. Whenever I get the chance I teach place value. If I'm going over a three digit multiplication problem I'm always emphasizing the place value, same with division. So when I saw that Homeschool Buyers Co-op had it at a discount for $59.00 I jumped at the chance using money from my paypal (thankfully I sold a few things to cover the cost). I would have never been able to purchase this at the price of $129.00 from the company or even $99.00 from Amazon.
I was a little disappointed that the DVD had only one cartoon. For some reason I was under the impression that it was going to be a series of cartoons to coincide with the interactive cd-rom. I'm over that now. I did have the Caleb, Brent, Ethan watch the DVD twice though, they were happy to oblige.

Trickomatics arrived just when I needed it. Brent has had some trouble with long multiplication and Ethan, is now just starting it in his current math of Teaching Textbook and was getting stuck with the multiplication problems.

Once the child watches the DVD they are ready to choose from a number of games via the interactive CD.
Below is Ethan's Game Statistics. Once he hits 'Perfect' on all the games he no longer has to use Tricomatics and in my opinion should be a Place Value expert!
