Week 31

Week 30. April 23-27, 2012

This was a Mocha, Java, Latte, Espresso kind of week.;0) I don't know why but I was so extremely tired! But it was  a good week.

Caleb, continues to use Mathematical Reasoning Level F (which is on sale right now). He alternates between Math-U-See and and Mathematical Reasoning.
Joshua, completing his Judah Bible Curriculum summary. Notice the pretty bowl, it's a Japanese rice bowl. Right now it has air-soft gun pellets.
Yes, we live in Texas. The children are practicing with their air soft guns.
Can you tell what Annette studied in science??? She learned all about ants.

We did another science experiment. She found about six different kinds of food, honey, piece of bread, chex square, white chocolate morsel and a piece of Chocolate Chip cookie that Joshua made.
She had to find an active ant hill, place her items and see what the ants preferred. We sat there for fifteen minutes but it was hot, so we went inside the house. Annette, checked later, the ants didn't care for the bread, cheese or Chex. She answered some questions in her science notebook too.
Ethan, has been copying passages from the I Can Read series, many of the books are from the author Dr. Seuss.
He informed me this week that he doesn't care too much for copying poems. I think I'll let him copy from books that he chooses. Ethan, is doing well in school, he completed math, did some Trickomatics, Rod and Staff English and read a page a day from Pathway Phonics. Some pages he reread and also copied many words.
Did I mention it was a Java, Mocha, Latte, Espresso kind of week ;)

  1. Looks like a great week! I bet you're having lovely weather in TX. Ours is cold (low 50s most days), although we're supposed to reach 70s this week. I shuddered at the ant experiment: we're finding the buggers in our dishwasher, yuck. It's like our own homegrown experiment.

  2. Yes, the last couple of days have been nice, but it has been getting hot too. Summer hot and I much prefer the 50s and 60s. I'd rather be bundled up.
