TOS Review: Homeschool Library Builder

As a TOS Crew Member, I was asked to review Homeschool Library Builder.

I have always LOVED books, so much in fact that I'm a book sniffer and you can find my children sniffing books as well. I'm thankful that my children love books too. My husband has commented many times that he is grateful to see his children reading. When we have a doctor or orthodontist appointment, the staff will comment, "Oh, you are reading a book, that's great, it's not very often we see children reading". So I was happy to become familiar with a company that had the words 'Library' and 'Homeschool' in it and as you can imagine, I spent hours at this site.

The company was founded in 2001 by Diane McKee a homeschooling mom who loved great literature. In 2007 she sold the company to Julie Huffmans and Gayla Weatherfords. Between them they have eight children whom they homeschool as well.

From the website:
"We offer quality new and used living books at bargain prices -- selections recommended by your favorite curricula such as Five in a Row, Sonlight, Beautiful Feet, Tapestry of Grace, Ambleside Online, and others."

You can also search books by categories: Science, Classic Literature, Story Books, vintage or by age.

HSLB has a FREE Membership program.
As a member there are points to be earned which equals more saving to their already rock bottom prices! With your FREE membership, you can earn 1 HSLB book point with every dollar you spend. Fifteen book points equals $1.00 in your account toward a future purchase.
One also receives a monthly newsletter which informs you of special offers like free shipping, special event promos or featured products.

Another great feature that I really appreciate is the Wishlist. I love companies that provide this little perk. It makes life so much easier when you can have all your great finds in one place. As a homeschooling mama of six children, life can get pretty busy, so having the 'add to wishlist' button is a fantastic and good thing. When all is quiet I can come back and transfer books to my cart.
FYI:when adding to your wishlist the book can be purchased by another customer and may not be available later.

Homeschool Library Builder special for the month of May is 25% off your entire order!!!
There is no coupon required. It's all automatically applied.

One last thing I wanted to share, the out-of-print books are not outrageously priced. Love that!

With me gearing up for the next school year you can be sure that I'll be hanging out at the Homeschool Library Builder's website, taking advantage of the 25% saving this month.
