Freedom of Speech

My family ate twice at Chick-Fil-A. Why? Simply because we believe in freedom of speech. I normally try to stick to homeschooling and family on this blog but I had to support one of my most favorite places to eat.
Just because Dan Cathy answered a question about marriage being between a man and women, my goodness did people get riled up and made a mountain out of a mole hill. Calling Chick-Fil-A names like 'hate chicken'. I think that's uncalled for.
This doesn't have to be 'my side' against 'your side' type thing. It's just speaking up for ones belief.
I too believe in traditional marriage, but that doesn't mean I hate people who choose to live a different lifestyle. I have family members who have chosen this path and in no way do I hate them.
My going to Chick-Fil-A was not to be 'against' people, but to keep America free.

  1. Great post! I'd have gone too if we had them where I live. But we don't. So if you want to go again for me, go for it! Blessings.

  2. Well said! We didn't go to Chick Fil A because the lines were too long, but do support their stance to say whatever they want to in our free America and not be punished for it. :)

  3. I'll be happy go for both of you again =) I LOVE their chicken, because it's always consistent. Not old or over cooked. Wendy's is my second favorite chicken sandwich but I never know if it's going to be fresh or old.

  4. I didn't get to go to the one in Oxnard since I work until 5pm and then have to be at youth by 6:45pm...not enough time to wait in those long lines. Although I love their chicken too.

Glad you were able to go (twice). How were the lines? Did you have to wait long?
