Date Night

Lupe and I enjoyed a quiet meal at Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers. I ordered a Single Cheeseburger with mayo and ketchup only. No pickles, tomatoes, or lettuce yet. I still swallow bigger pieced then I like but at least I practiced chewing something more than soft noodles.

Lupe tried the chicken sandwich, how I wanted one of their chicken sandwiches. Next to Chick-fil-a, Wendy’s is my favorite. I didn't think I was ready to try it though.

We still had some gifts that needed to be wrapped so after our nice dinner together we went to Wrap-it-up. A local church is blessing the community by offering to wrap gifts for free. It’s such a huge blessing to our family. My picture didn’t come out to well. I should have taken one of the operation going on inside. Very efficient. They use I Pads to take our ‘order’ of what wrapping paper we want and such, it then prints it out at the ‘Drop Off’ desk, then there is a screen like the ones at the airport, with information on whose orders are being wrapped and those that are ready. My hubby was impressed.

I wanted to buy a gift card for a friend at Saxbys Coffee, mmmmm, they have so many flavors. Lupe and I decided to try one. I had the German Chocolate Cake Mocha with soy and Lupe had a Chai tea. He is still recovering from that horrible cold virus that he’s been fighting for weeks now, the one that knocked him out, my poor hubby.

Our coffee/tea was really hot, so we took it to go. We figured by the time we finished shopping it would be just right.

So we were on the hunt for a dress for Annette, dress shoes for Ethan, nice church slacks for Ethan and Caleb and a CHRISTmas gift for Ethan.

We stopped a 2 Kohl’s, 2 Macy’s, 1 JC Penny’s, 1 Target, 1 Dillards, and 3 cities to get all that we needed. It was 6 hours of shopping. I also found a few skirts at Dillard's for a good price.
That was another wonderful date with my hubby. I felt bad for my Sweets because he looked so tired by the time we were done at 11:30 p.m. thankfully we took a good nap earlier.

I almost forgot to mention, we sipped our coffee in between stores. It was just right after our first stop.
Merry CHRISTmas!

  1. I am so blessed by your date night posts....so inspiring! I've been doing some Mother-Daughter dates, and pray that my husband will be well enough to go out more soon. With him being out of work, we will really have to be very creative in dating and be very frugal.

    Merry Christmas!

  2. Linda, sounds like another lovely date night. I agree with you, I love Wendy's chicken sandwhich. Even the simple one on the 99 cent menu is very good! :)

What a blessing to get all your gifts wrapped. I wish they had something like that around here. ;)

Sounds like you had a great time shopping too! I love Kohl's.

    Blessings!
