2nd Day Back to Homeschool (better)

Today was our second day back and was a lot better than our first. We didn’t get as much done though but I had some good Bible teaching moments with Ethan and Lance.

This is why I LOVE teaching my children at home and with Heart of Dakota. I am using Little Hearts with Lance and Bigger Hearts with Ethan, both times while doing their school I was able share about our Savior. It was wonderful and so worth going through those days that are not so good.

With Ethan I went over Proverbs 3:3-4 and inserted his name:
Let love and faithfulness never leave Ethan; bind them around Ethan’s neck, write them on the tablet of Ethan’s heart. Then Ethan, will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

I also read him a story from Hymns for Kid’s Heart, read the hymn, verse, and prayed the prayer. It was just perfect. I had a good time with Ethan.
With Lance I read chapter 19 of Devotions for the Children’s Hour about a Child of the King. I read Romans 8:14-17, read a hymn; I’m a child of the King, a child of the King: With Jesus my Savior, I’m a child of the King.

Ducky and Lance both enjoyed our Rhymes in Motion, part of Little Hearts for His Glory.
Here is Lupe with Lance yesterday evening.
Annette and I did our Beautiful Girlhood Study together. I thought she was so beautiful with her sweet and innocent face that I had to take a picture.

Our study was on the tongue and how we need to watch what we say.
The Cousins in California sent us an ornament. I thought it was really sweet of them to think of us. How did they know my children are so into Star Wars. My favorite is Yoda, he’s so cute.
My sister Cynce and her family were here for a visit in 2010 for Thanksgiving. My nephew Donnie asked Ethan to keep his stuff safe for him while he is gone (we live states away). My faithful Ethan still has Donnie’s things two years later.
Brent made some sort of Star Wars battleship called the Death Star (yikes).

  1. I love finding other HOD blogs :) You are using the character cards I made for Bigger! It was a nice surprise seeing them! We have had such a great year in Bigger. I really look forward to Preparing and CtC!
