Christi the Coupon Coach

One item Annette and I are reviewing is Christi the Coupon Coach. We are always trying to find ways to save.

I have not couponed much so this will be a good challenge for us. Every Friday my dad takes me along with a few of the kid, usually Annette and Ethan, to do our regular grocery shopping. I spend most of my grocery money at Sprouts, so I admit it’s been a bit of a challenge for me.

This past year I have cut out 95% of boxed item or ‘food’ that have a very long shelf life.

I was so happy to find some broth that does not contain any form of MSG. I have been on the hunt all year. I’d make my own but need some bones. At first I didn’t have a place to store it but now that we have our freezer in the back I can.

I try my best to purchase things with all ‘real’ ingredients. Because of this it has made couponing for this mama a bit more of  a challenge.

I have found that most of the coupons are for processed foods or foods with yeast extract, dyes, and other forms of preservatives that I’m really trying to stay away from. Not that I’m 100% processed food free but again I try and have come along way since January of this year.

But that’s not to say I haven’t saved anything. Since I have been reviewing Christi the Coupon Coach I have saved at least $13.00 each Friday. Now that may not seem like a lot but it’s $13.00 more dollars in our bank account. If I stay on track and continue to save $13.00 a week in month that’ll be $52.00 and a $624.00 total in a year. Not bad I’d say for a beginner.

  1. I've found that it is very hard to buy the "healthy" foods and use coupons. I do try to do what I can.

Thanks for sharing your savings and the organic broth, too!

  2. You're welcome. Couponing has made me more aware of my spending. I now go to sprouts online to see if there are any coupons to print that I will use.
