TOS Summer School

Things have slowed down here but we are still doing some school using TOS. Today we had history time by watching Almanzo Wilder: Life Before Laura. The kids and I really enjoyed it.

Later today we’ll do another lesson of Homeschool Programming-Kid Coder Beginning Web Design. We are learning how to build a website.

I am also cleaning up the schoolhouse Winking smile by packing all the homeschooling stuff that we will not use this year.

And I did some end of the school year reading assessments with the younger students: Caleb, Brent, Ethan, and Lance.

They have all improved and are at grade level thank the Lords. This summer I’m going to make sure that they continue having reading time to further improve. I’d like them to be a little above grade level. Brent actually did really well but needs to work on accuracy and speed.

I use Informal Reading Assessment by Teacher Created Resources.

And that’s about it for today’s schooling!
