Let’s Click 365 Days-Day 42 (Math-U-See)

Look what I dug out of storage (our garage Winking smile), Math-U-See!!!
These are the 2004 version. As many of you know Math-U-See (MUS) has since updated their program twice. Once in 2009 and again in 2013. What I love about this company is not only their awesome math program but if you have their oldies but goodies a.k.a out dated teacher guides and dvds, it’s okay because the newer student books will work just fine.
You can always visit their Resource by Level Page on their website to get any updated answer keys for pages in their newer student workbooks.
I have since sold my Alpha, Beta, and Gamma teacher packs, sniff, sniff. Thankfully I knew I wasn’t ready to sell off everything, especially the blocks.
A blogging friend sent me her Gamma a little over a year ago. I wasn’t using it or planned on using it but I held onto it because my gut kept saying, “keep it, keep it”. I think sometimes God speaks through my gut.
A friend from church was able to locate an older version of the Alpha teacher pack for $15.16, so I’m covered there. I just need to purchase the workbook.
Why am I writing about all this, well . . . I’m making a full circle. You see, I purchased Math-U-See Primer way back when Josh was starting school. He actually completed Primer, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta before I switched him over and over and over again.
He completed Gamma twice. I don’t know what it was but he just didn’t do well with MUS. I think it was more me than the program. Josh also didn’t care for manipulatives but again, I didn’t sit with him much. At the time Lance was 2, Ethan 3, Brent 4, Caleb 5, Annette was starting 1st grade. I was just plum tired back then.
Anyway, Annette completed Alpha only (by then I was switching around), Caleb has actually completed Primer-Epsilon and is now working through Zeta, he’s doing very well in math.
Annette too is currently using MUS as well. She completed Epsilon and is almost done with Zeta.
As soon as I order the workbooks for Alpha, Delta, Epsilon, and the whole set and extra workbook for Pre Algebra, I’ll have 5 children using my favorite math program again. I’m excited and hopefully I won’t stray again. Hmmm, maybe another “Stick With It 6 Week Challenge” is in order.
