How Sweet!

My sister-in-law surprised me with a recipe binder and some other goodies yesterday.
I’m embarrassed to say that one of my love languages is gifts.
Not that I expects gifts and of course nothing expensive.
My husbands laughs because I’m happy with a second hand set of measuring cups or spoons. A mug from a garage sale or a book.
Not that I was expecting my sis-in-law to get me something but it was fun.
And she also gave me a Nothing Bunt Cake. It was pumpkin spice too! Yes, this low-carb mama had a piece.
Anyway, I just thought it was really sweet of her to think of me.

  1. That was so sweet! Gifts are my love language, too, although I hesitate to admit that. :-)

  2. It is hard to admit. I guess because we don't want people to think it's all about material stuff. It sounds like we want stuff when it's really the thought behind the gift. This is the first time I've ever blogged about my dominate love language.

I do love giving gifts too. I enjoy trying to find that perfect something for someone.

  3. I also love to give gifts, and I always put a lot of thought into them! I agree - it's not about "getting something", it's the fact that that person thought enough about you to get something that fits your personality so well. I think you and I are very much alike!

  4. Such a cute recipe binder :) As my girls are getting older and getting married, they are really wanting family recipes.

  5. I love it! She picked one that says "Linda" all over it ;) I wonder where she got them. I need to get Annette one.
