Heart of Dakota

Joshua is still wrapping up his 11th grade year. He’s been busy and life can get pretty hectic when you’re trying to figure out what you want to do with your life.
Here’s a little sampling from his Art Journal. He’s still using HOD but once he’s done he’ll switch to ACE PACEs for his last year.
This page he used pencil so it’s not showing up to well in the picture. You can see it fine in real life though.
Again, the pencil writing is difficult to see.
This is from his health course. Heart of Dakota: World History.
Here is Lance being Lance.
He’s completing Dyslexia Games, what we call, “Brain Food”.

Annette, Caleb, Brent, and Ethan have been going to the library 3-4 times a week to finish up some school work. They love that it’s quiet and I’m hoping one of the reasons is they are surrounded by books! I doubt that with the boys (sigh) but I like to think they love being with those books.

  1. I'm missing some parts of Heart of Dakota -- like all the good books and ::love:: the notebook pages!!!

I'm trying to find a balance of adding in read alouds.

  2. In my perfect homeschool I would have all my kids use HOD. I love all the in depth studying going on with Annette!
