The Pictures on My Nightstand

This is how my nightstand looks today, well at least part of it. It’s rather messy at the moment 🤓 but it has some precious photos. My kiddos when they were younger. A picture of my hubby and I when life was a bit less stressful, my mom and dad on my wedding 💒 day 😍 and a selfie of my sweet Grandma and me.

My Grandma passed away last month and I miss her very much. She was a strong, independent, beautiful woman. She was 94 - her mind was still so sharp but her body was frail. She was a fighter till the end. She wanted to get out of that hospital bed and walk so she continued to do her leg exercises. Grandma was no quitter- the doctor may have told her she was dying but that didn’t mean she should stop her daily routine, after all they told her that just twelve months before. The selfie of us wad taken almost to the day a year earlier ❤️

As I write this today it’s reminding me not to give up on things in this world that may seem tough and  the tunnel is dark. It reminds me that my God is walking through this tunnel with me and the light 💡 is there. I just need to be strong and not give up. If Grandma can continue her leg exercises even when she was told her time was near than I can take another step with my Jesus.

I ❤️ You Grandma.

P.S. this is the first time I have ever used my phone 📲 to write a blog post. As you can see I am an emoji kind of gal 😆 please excuse any mistakes. My laptop 💻 broke. I will have to come back later to make corrections. I don’t like using my phone. The screen is so little.

  1. I love this...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I'm all teary eyed!! We are all strong woman. Grandma was an excellent example for us to follow. She was a fighter until the end. Her Rosary calmed her and kept her at peace. She loved God and now she is with him. We miss you Grandma Tanny
